Timothy Alexander Guzman, Silent Crow News – Israel has obviously crossed the redline once again with a Mossad-style terror attack due to explosives implanted in pagers and other devices used by members of Hezbollah and other civilians killing more than 37 people and injuring thousands more. Israel will now face an onslaught of missile barrages that they are not prepared for. The Washington Post just published a breaking report on the situation, ‘Hezbollah chief calls pager, radio attacks an ‘act of war’ by Israel’ based on Hezbollah’s leader, Hasan Nasrallah who called the terrorist attack in Lebanon an “act of war.”
In the meantime, the IDF has gone on the offensive and initiated strikes on its northern borders hitting several targets in southern Lebanon. Tel Aviv has approved plans for a wider war since the terrorist attack has bought more time for the IDF to launch a coordinated attack that can further cripple Hezbollah’s capabilities since the attack has most likely, killed or injured top-level fighters in the process.
According to the report, Nasrallah said that “the enemy transgressed all boundaries and redlines” and that the attacks were “a major assault on Lebanon, its security and sovereignty, a war crime — an act of war,”
The Associated Press (AP) has reported on Hezbollah’s military capabilities in the past and warned what Israel would have to face if they decided to declare war on their northern border against a very capable fighting force. First and foremost, Hezbollah, is a well-disciplined paramilitary force that has “gained experience during Syria’s 13-year conflict in which they helped tip the balance of power in favor of government forces.” According to Nasrallah’s estimates, Hezbollah has more than 100,000 fighters and more than 150,000 missiles including all types of rockets, and we must include an arsenal of armed drones that are most likely provided by Iran, a staunch ally of Hezbollah.
The AP report said that “Hezbollah also has been working on precision-guided missiles” and that “Its forces also have assault rifles, heavy machine guns, rocket-propelled grenades, roadside bombs and other weaponry.” Another point that the AP article makes is that “During the current conflict, Hezbollah has frequently used Russian-made portable anti-tank Kornet missiles. More rarely, it has launched Burkan rockets that, according to Nasrallah, can carry a warhead that weighs between 300 kilograms (660 pounds) and 500 kilograms (1,100 pounds)” and that “Hezbollah has introduced new weapons including a surface-to-surface missile with a range of 10 kilometers (6 miles) and a warhead weighing 50 kilograms (110 pounds).”
This is the moment Hezbollah has been preparing for and it’s happening now.
Hezbollah fighters are well-disciplined and believe in what they do unlike in the West especially in the US military where many of the new recruits join the army, marines or navy for a paycheck or to supposedly learn a new skill to get a job in civilian life. The US military uses various tactics to enforce discipline at will, to create obedient soldiers and sailors that will do anything their superiors’ demand. Many US military members do believe that they are fighting for some sort of democracy in a foreign land, but many also come to realize that they are just cannon fodder for US corporations or are just doing the dirty work for their globalist masters, some even realize that they are fighting for Israel’s agenda of expanding its territory. They eventually become disillusioned with the US military.
But Hezbollah is in a different category, they are a disciplined army that goes beyond a paycheck. They truly believe they are fighting for justice and dignity against an evil enemy called Israel that murders men, women and children just like what is currently happening in Gaza.
The Cairo Review of Global Affairs explains what it means to become a member of Hezbollah:
Today, however, the motivations for joining Hezbollah are more multidimensional, blending religious observance, hostility toward Israel, and the Shia commitment to justice and dignity. On a more prosaic level, many young Shias naturally gravitate toward an organization that has helped empower their community in Lebanon and has earned respect for its martial exploits over the years. “Our fighters are driven by complex motives— patriotism and Islamic motives,” Sheikh Khodr Noureddine told me in 1996, when he was Hezbollah’s political chief in south Lebanon. “Our Islamic beliefs make these young men refuse to accept injustice. They will do anything to resist Israel. I know the West does not understand, but our youth cannot live with Israel.”
Recruits drawn from the south who have grown up with an inherent distrust of Israel will dwell more on the aspect of defending their border communities against the perceived perpetual threat of the Jewish state
In other words, Hezbollah will fight Israel and its allies with the discipline, courage and patriotism needed to sustain a long war. They have a purpose and that is to truly fight an injustice imposed on their people who want nothing more than to live in peace and prosperity, but they can’t with a state like Israel on their southern border. Israel is essentially living on borrowed time just like Ukraine.
This is going to be the war that can escalate into a wider war that will have an impact on the global community. Can it be stopped? I doubt it because the damage has been done. It is a foregone conclusion unfortunately.
